SlagJones Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Factory specs are 5/64 at the 12th fret for low E and 3/64 for the high E. How do you like your action? I assume most people like it lower How low do you go? Just wondering.
Figstrum Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 As low as it can go without fretbuzz. Now, for slide its a different story, its got to be high.
sexygibson Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Oh man; I thought this thread would be about something else. I was gonna say my " action " had been a bit slow lately. I like the action at 3 6/4 for the treble strings and 4 6/4 for the bass at the 7th fret.
animalfarm Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 As low as it can go without fretbuzz. When in doubt, that IS the "golden Rule". Mine are all set for 4/64 Low E, and 3/64 High E at 12th fret. Go to Harbor Freight, get a "machinists Rule", costs $1.00 here in Tex, put one in each git case as to always have for setup, pickup height. Measures in 32nds and 64ths.
