Luap Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Hi. I see that the neck strap button on a Casino is on the back of the guitar. Isn't this very dangerous (more chance for the strap to slip off) and very uncomfortable?
TWANG Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 dot and sheri are that way, too.. feels good to me.. I use straplocks on everything.. esp like them on anything that could get hurt falling as easily as a semi hollow. TWANG
Joseph Salina Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I get concerned about the strap slipping off as well. I tried the little red washers from the Grolish beer tops as strap locks and they do work. That inexpensive idea was suggested by someone on another posting. The contents of the bottle are also worth considering.
Luap Posted March 15, 2009 Author Posted March 15, 2009 And does it "feel" comfortable? It looks like the strap is turned 90 degrees too much when the strap button is on the back? (second question: are there any more strap lock models available?)
GlennW Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I like 'em that way as long as the guitar stays balanced. With the button on the back you can change the angle you're holding the guitar and the strap remains perpendicular to the button and is much less likely to come off.
pohatu771 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I like it there. When you attach the strap, you attach the back to the endpin, and the front to the neck pin. It's actually more comfortable than my Strats, to me.
bluelake07 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 The Casino is well-balanced, light in weight and comfortable to hold. The neck strap button doesn't touch your body and isn't in the way. Straplocks on everything.
Guest icantbuyafender Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 meh... straploks all the way. No chancing it. My frankenpaul jr took an ugly fall during a late drink and jam session. had to replace the machine heads. luckily GFS sells some wallet friendly and quality stuff! for larger bodied guitars like the hollowbodies, the back of the neck placement is key to their balance and playability as bluelake said
