lpfan
I have never played a Casino before but I might try one this week. You can't go wrong with the goldtop.
charlie brown
Same pickups, different configuration, for mounting, is all. The tone will be different, than your Casino, but that's because of the difference in the guitar bodies, themselves. Not the pickups... CB
Parabar
P-90's seem particularly responsive to differences in guitar construction --- according to many players, they sound "differenter" on solidbodies, hollows and semis than other types of pickups. Another factor is the fact that the Casino's P-90's have metal dogear covers versus the plastic soapbars on the LP, which also seem to accentuate the differences in tone. This is from Lollar's site: Something to consider is that with plastic covers the pickup will have a little more high end—the metal covers will reduce the top end a little bit. Also, the metal covers have a tendency to feed back microphonically, even if the pickups are potted to an extreme.
MaxHart85231281734137
so if you were to change pick up covers on a casino to plastic , that would help take down some of the feedback ?

Feedback remedies have been discussed previously, do a search on "casino feedback".
