mud guy
I found them at the middle position of my pickup selector on my dot...after reading several posts about preferences on pickup positions, I decided to play with various volume levels between the bridge and neck pickups with the selector in the middle position and I am now no longer considering a pickup upgrade. Wow! Just rolling the neck off to about 7 and the bridge at 10 gives me that nice velvety overdrive without the harshness of just the bridge pickup. sorry for stating the obvious, and thanks to those who described their settings earlier. AS90
Its surprising how many people only play with the knobs maxed.
RSDx
Its surprising how many people only play with the knobs maxed. It is, ain't it ??? I spend a LOT of time in the middle position on my LP - it's a very variable, sweet spot in the sound - neck alone can sound a lill muffled, bridge alone a lil harsh ... both together is a nice blend (although if I could only play one or the other, I'd use the neck, at least on my LP - my bridge seems shrill by itself, but plays well with the neck, so it works for me. yobbos1
I don't think I'll ever get every possible sound out of my Epi Lucille. I seem to find a great new tone every time I go looking.
ReneBoedker
Its surprising how many people only play with the knobs maxed. The only time I turn a knob down is when I'm playing the intro of "You Shook Me All Night Long".
