pschaafs
This looks like the neck was swapped out - the body looks right except for a backstrip I've never seen on a J-50... http://cgi.ebay.com/70-GIBSON-SJN-vintage-kalamazoo-J-45-50-L-K-/160486970803?pt=Guitar&hash=item255dc4d5b3

zombywoof
That's because it ain't a J-50 but an SJN (the natural top version of the Southerner Jumbo formerly known as the Country & Western). If the board inlays were not a dead give away, it says so right on the truss rod cover.
rar
That's because it ain't a J-50 but an SJN ... +1 -- The ad clearly says it's an SJN. The seller just included "J-50" in the title so that folks searching for a J-50 would see it. -- Bob R
