animalfarm
Due to a recent series of posts regarding guitars making various hoots, squeaks, honks, squeees, hums, buzzes, etc. I've added three more topics in the - ***GUITAR HUM/BUZZ/SCRATCHY VOL or TONE POTS FROM GUITAR Section: "Troubleshooting NOISE!" "Input Jacks - How to keep them CLEAN" - Really! "Bad Solder Joint and/or Broken Wire?" - YES, it happens... MANY THANKS to our members who by virtue of their questions provide ideas, and when the question repeats, time to add into DIY. I'm GRATEFUL to all of you who have helped this originally 8 Thread "POST" evolve into a 95 Thread Sticky. Also grateful to Duane for MAKING it a "Sticky". Some of y'all have submitted ideas that are curently in my "favorites", waiting for the right time to bring in. I DO pay attention! As of this post, it has 4,992 Views, not counting "repeat offenders" (like ME) who go back over and over. Wow. I remember being amazed when it reached 1,000 views. Our Forum Members have MUCH to contribute, and really "STEP UP" when trying to help each other, and especially the NEW members. Yeah, we see the SAME questions repeated a lot, and YES, we know a little research would have provided an answer. BUT - WE are the "Mentors", and it's up to US to provide the "gentle nudge/example" to help get our newbies up to speed. We ARE "The Friendly Forum", and we ARE the best D@mn Forum around. I'm PROUD to be a member...

gearhead
We ARE "The Friendly Forum", and we ARE the best D@mn Forum around. I'm PROUD to be a member... animalfarm
Went ahead and added a section titled: "REPLACE/REGLUE YOUR GUITAR NUT". This will be added to and include: Removal of existing nut. Prep for new nut. Install of NEW nut. Fine-tuning your nut. Not sure if I will go into the level of "Making your Own" yet. All the above will require the TITLE be changed a bit to reflect content, but will still be about "Your NUTS"... Perhaps a section about getting the woman in your life interested in helping with your nuts...
RobinTheHood
You've been quite busy with this lately. KUDOS to you good sir! I've backed off on the guides for a bit due to exceeding the everloving crap out of my bandwidth. Also still contemplating starting a new wiki. Keep fighting the good fight, man. Its an awesome resource!
animalfarm
Which is the PERFECT intro for: I've also added a section about NUTS... Guitar Nuts. Currently has 3 entries, I'm looking for a couple of tutorials I have seen (may be in my reference books) regarding REMOVAL Techniques. Bottom line, it'll have - Removal Reglue Repairs MAYBE "How" to cut your own nuts... Just passing info on!
animalfarm
Also added a PICKUP MODIFICATION Sub-section, under the Main Guitar Pickup Info Section. Currently deals with a P-90 MOD and The infamous "Peter Green" Mod for HUMBUCKERs. ALL sections in the sticky can be added to/modified if needed or justified. You folks are welcome to suggest TOPIC, or create threads for possible inclusion about real topics, not "dream Topics". But please make them ""Realistic" - something that folks COULD possibly accomplish themselves if they are not PROFESSIONAL LUTHIERS! Yada, yada, yada.....
