Pots are viewed from bottom, solder tab/terminals numbered as follows: In "Diagram #5" Below, the Pot Tabs are numbered Azz-Backwards (gotta FIX that), shoud be 1, 2, 3 from LEFT to RIGHT.... JC recommends turning down pot to ZERO because IF you apply TOO MUCH heat, there's a chance of accidentally "Toasting" the resistive strip inside.
