You know what I'm surprised isn't included on the Gibson timeline? The introduction of the tuneomatic bridge. It's one of Gibson's most important and widely copied innovations. I'm also surprised their invention of the truss rod isn't on there, either--it's a major factor in the development of the electric guitar: we wouldn't have skinny necks without them.
