Andy R
Whoever it was had some quick learnin to do. Can you imagine the pressure. Yeah that would suck. I think Bernie had about 2 days to learn the tunes. Brad Gillis was on the bus the whole time but no one would give him an audition until Bernie said he didn't want to do it anymore after bout 6 or 8 gigs... Brad was a fan and already pretty much knew the tunes from what I have heard.
Duende
Bernie did a combined interview with our local guitar society (Sidcup/Bexley guitar Society) and Ultimaterhoads. This was a year or two back and he mentions the circumstances The link is here http://www.ultimater...php?f=33&t=2625 Here is Bernie in 2009 at the society playing Canonball from his band GMT's album Bitter and Twisted. The quality is not great but I think you can here where is with his playing! To say he was humble is still a huge understatement. So much so that at the end of the evening he helped my wife and me carry our amps and equipment back to her car. He even watched some of the younger kids doing the slot in the open mic in the first half too. Just a really nice down to earth guy, and not a bad guitar player either! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVPQni0FPIw Matt
