Getting a new elitist after finding my Byrdland wasn't suiting me. This time a Casino. It's in the mail.

After moving some gear around i'll have this Casino, a new Rick 620 i just bought new, and a nice Squier Japanese vintage strat. I've got a 65 Showman, and next i want a Vox AC15hw1. Can you say Revolver to Abbey Road? Hehehe.

Envy behave, get down and be quite. Wonderful looking Elitist Bunky, and congrats on all your new acquisitions.

You know we love our pics here ...

As soon as the Casino arrives, i'll take a pic of the 3 electrics.

What do you guys think, should I take the pickguard off a la George Harrison and Paul Weller?

I would, and have done so on all my hollow and semi-hollows, especially if it has a wonderfully figured top, as yours appears to have in spades. It also gives a more symmetrical appearance IMHO.

It was a nice guitar, however it wasn't something that really suited my style sound. I think i'll cover most ground i need with the strat, rick, casino.

Really though, unless your professional, we could all probably make do with one guitar. :)

But it's so much more fun with many.

I've got a question. My Casino has 11's on it, and a wound G string. If I put a wire g-string on there do you think i'll have any troubles with getting correct intonation? I've heard this can be an issue, but not sure if it's common.

It shouldn't be a problem, the only way to find out for sure would be to try it, every guitar, even of the same model, is different and will act differently. You may have to do the intonation again but it should be able to intonate.

Very nice looking Casino. All three are very nice actually.

Thanks, hopefully these will keep me happy. Just need a vox to go with my 65 Showman and i'm all set for a afew years. Signed a contract with the Ms. Only allowed set ups and strings etc... for the next few years, after I get the vox of course. :)

Is it necessary to get a shim for your bridge pick up? I've heard of some people doing for volume or something.

If your neck pup is noticeably louder it seems to be a common fix, just don't go overboard and jack it up too high.
