Reading a great Les Paul Book

One of my buddies just loaned me a book that he just bought on the net called The Beauty of the 'Burst by Yashiko Iwanade. It has a large number of '58,'59 &'60 'burst Les Pauls, all listed in chronological order. The book is so detailed with splendid pix of the most adorable Les Pauls it would bring any Les Paul lover almost to tears. This guy has amassed some of the world's most desirable 'bursts including Billy Gibbon's Pearly Gates and some of Slash's collection as well as Peter Green's beauty.I don't think that it's in print any longer as it was published in Japan but what a fabulous lot of eye candy. The English printing was produced by Hal Leonard so it may well still be available but it's a must for any Les Paul fan and really for any guitar lover.

I read it through when I first bought it. Now, I, too, just look at the pics.

'Burst: 1958 - '60 Sunburst Les Paul by Jay Scott and Vic Da Pra is another good read (and look).
