I am currently using Martin 80/20 11's and normally use 12''s I've used d'Addario's, DR's, Ernie Ball's, Elixer's I've tried coated strings and to me they are never as bright as uncoated. As far as this guitar goes Ive found the perfect strings for my ears. Here is a couple tracks we recorded with 13's on the CW. torca Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 I have a 59' Southern Jumbo and like mediums,typically D'Addario EJ17-3D(.013-.056) and recently the Gibson Masterbuilt Premium Phos/Bronze Mediums,same size.Irregardless I only buy North American made.Mediums give bark and bite.
