thevalleygirl
Is it possible to have a Mustache Bridge put onto my 12-string Hummingbird?
ponty
Yes it is possible...costly via Gibson workshop...but..Valleygirl, your Gibson HB is beautiful. She dosent need 'plastic surgery'!
vincentw
I'd leave her alone. I see why you'd want one, but maybe just buy yourself a J-200 one day.
g1111
Penitence is something that enervates our spirit, causing a greater loss than loss itself and making a bigger mistake than mistake itself, so never regret.
iamgreg
You should consider a Colossi compensated bone saddle for it; about $30. I just put one on my new SWD 12 string and it did a world of good for the intonation; it helped the tone as well.
DanvillRob
VG, I'd leave it alone, but if are hell-bent on dressing it up, why not look at the bridge on the H'Bird Customo KOA? (wouldn't need to remove any of the nitro!, and relatively easily replaced, should you ever decide to sell it) Bob
fortyearspickn
It's your guitar, I assume you bought it to play and not as an investment - and wouldn't be thinking of a different bridge if you were thinking of selling it. So do what you feel will make it more enjoyable for you to play. Rosewood, Maple or Ebony? And second the motion for a custom saddle. Enjoy! thevalleygirl
Is it possible to have a Mustache Bridge put onto my 12-string Hummingbird? Thank you everyone for your replies... I am NOT changing the bridge after reading your views. It is a sweet guitar and need to love it as it is without my bridge envy. Thanks again!
