I missed the chance of buying the same 81 - 85 period Emperor model about ten years ago and I've NEVER seen another one for sale. glider Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 hey i was able to grab a 1985 sheraton made in japan last week. had to have a bit of work done to her.... changed the bridge and has some fret leveling done. got it back yesterday...wow i am psyched. such a nice sustain-y tone and so playable.Love the old skool epiphone font and hte mother of pearl inlay. neck feels really good.. not to chunky but not to thin either. I am new to semi-hollow body guitars and humbucker pickups,so i hae nothing to compare it to but my maple necked clapton strat but man she seems to want to sing.. such a nice guitar... i scored on mine pricewise so i had no issues with throwing some cash into it....super happy i purchased it... i wonder how much better,, if at all a gibby 335 would sound.. i run my electrics thru a mia fender hot rod deluxe and a fender champ 600... these seem to compliment the epi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

frenchie1281734003 Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 I have had three Matsumoku made Casino`s and one Blonde 84 Sheraton in my time, and I really like them. They all seem to have great build quality and fabulous necks. The Sheratons MMK-75 pickups are modelled on the classic PAF and I find them a little wooly for my tastes, the MMK-61 pickups found in the Riviera on the other hand I really like. Yes I can make a two screw TRC for you Rich no problem, do you want the White "E" on it? P.M. your address when you are ready and I can get one to you in about a week. Steve. Does the IB Texan TRC fit your Casino`s (Holes line up)? If it does then it will be easy for me to make them! If not I will need a template from the Casino`s to make theirs. The other thing I can do is use my longer Lennon TRC as the template, but then you may have to redrill a top screwhole for them to fit. Steve.
