Here's a mystery to me. If it's a Special, why would they re route the selector switch to the upper bow? There's also no hole where the original switch would have gone. It may be a Jr, but that's still a lot of work running the switch up there.

Gotta love MLP.

Did anyone ever have that book CHORD CHEMISTRY by Greene? That looks like it could have been one of his guitars. He had guitars that were crammed with as many pups as could fit.

There was a period where it was considered hip in some circles to get as many pups and switches and such as possible in one guitar. This looks like one such guitar from that era.

Notice: all the added stuff is what would be stock or common to other guitars. No mini switches, the added switch is a stock switch, and the pups look like standard pups from other guitars.

Today, it looks butchered to us. But in the time before replacement pups, and mini switches, what effect would seeing that guitar have? It must have been cool.

Now....I wonder, at what point, now or in the future, will we get a vintage guitar that has the first Duncans or Dimarzios that were replaced when the guitar was new, and VALUE the guitar MORE based on these origional mods?

Bigsby??? Why be normal? It needs a B-bender & a Roland synth getup with a transducer. There should really be a Vari-Tone switch too.

Might as well throw some tuck and roll and a 8-ball on the pick up switch and dice on the knobs...
