Acoocoostic
Hi, New to the forum. Can anyone identify the Gibson Sondre Lerche is using in these videos (scroll down a bit)? His tone (and playing) is fantastic! He's a small dude, so I was wondering if this is a smaller J-45 "-esque" model. Thanks for reading. http://www.sondrelerche.com/av/
JuanCarlosVejar
man that one is a hard one . but I guess it is in the vein of a J
Tarrr
Sounds like mahogany/sitka to me.... maybe SouthernJumbo or J45? Hard to say with soooooooooo many custom models from Gibson. As long as they continue to make great stuff I can overlook their lack of historical meta data.
rar
... maybe SouthernJumbo or J45? ... An SJ would have double parallelogram fretboard inlays, not dots. This is a J-45. -- Bob R
Tarrr
double parallelogram fretboard inlays So that's what you call it... was looking at a 1981 J200 the other day. The newer models have a notch at each fret so you can easily refret, in 1981 you had to remove the binding.... this one needed a refret badly and I walked, I can't image how many hours/skill that would take. So, J45 it be... good analysis.
j45nick
It's some variety of modern J-45. Looks to have Klusons (or other small-button tuners) rather than rotomatics, so it's hard to tell what model. You can tell it's modern by the overlapping pickguard placement at the soundhole.
E-minor7
This one is as straight as can be : J-45, , , probably a Historic Collection. And hello Acooocooostic -
