Dub-T-123 Posted September 28, 2011 Share Posted September 28, 2011 The only drawbacks with this re-issue, IMHO, is the price, and, they replaced the Varitone with a varitone looking knob that coilsplits......I imagine it could be re-modded to be like the original...Sinner 13, yeah, my main guitar was a 1979 LPC until I picked up the L6-S.....Solid maple body, and, something really special about the pickups.....A light tone monster..... I'm pretty sure the varitone is just a rotary switch that switches between different caps. So yeah you could mod one in really easily. As for this LP, it's not my cup o tea.
