Epiphone Leather Guitar Strap

Hi Ya'll,

I'm looking for the wide Epi leather guitar strap and can't seem to turn an online dealer selling them. Anyone know of any or have seen them for sale? I've done a google search a couple of times now & don't want to order from UK.

Thanks for reading and double thanks if you know!!! Also, if anyone has one let me know if they are worth owning and are comfortable.

I dont know about the UK but in the US Guitar Center sells Levy's Straps and the widest they go is 3 inches wide for about 60 dollars... Im pretty sure they sell Levy's in the UK, just gotta hunt harder for a store dealer that sells them :D As for owning...

Well before i got this i couldn't play a gig for an hour with the thin strap i had (about 1.5-2 inches)but now i can go on for Hours... the wideness really helps distribute the weight of the Les Paul across the entire shoulder rather than dig down into one area.

Edit: Scratch that... i just went to Levy's website they only sell to US and Canada.

Don't want to order from Germany either!! [cursing]

I think one would be good for my Casino. I have a 2.5" & a 3" Levi strap I use for the heavy guitars like the Tele & Strat or a Gretsch ProJet. My shoulder won't take the skinny ones anymore for more than a couple of songs either.

That's kind of what I had come up with is nothing that I could see in the states. I'll call a store that sells Epi's and ask to ad to their next order I guess. Full List price I guess. <_<

I have one that I picked up on eBay last year in a kit with a tuner and 20' Epi guitar cable. It's decent quality, very soft on the underside and in general a very nice strap. It's not a thick, heavy strap and feels very comfortable on my shoulder.even though it is not padded. The underside is like a suede finish and even my G-400 doesn't dive down with it. The whole kit cost me something like 23 bucks so it was a great deal. I always keep my eyes open for another one on ebay but haven't come across one since.

Aster, the model of the strap you refer to is the "ST-500"; the Epiphone part number being E-STB2080BK-EG. The hang tag for retail reads ~3" premium leather strap~. I've got one new, unopened in the cellophane I'd let go via $30 from Paypal, with free shipping via USPS small flat rate box. From Chicagoland it wouldn't take long to reach you. I can send pics if you'd like. It's a well-reviewed strap in many languages, with 14 5 star ratings on one british site!

I've seen the Levy's straps too, but I'd imagine they're heavier than the Epiphone. The Epiphone is made from "glove leather". On my postal scale, it weighs just 4.4 ounces, or 130 grams; and that's still in the packaging!

I use a Levy's Boot Leather strap for my Casino, standing for three hours you hardly notice the guitar is there, that strap is durable!
