Jeremy Morton Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I have a freiend with a 4 year old J-45 TV that has a couple of hours of play on it. He is wanting to sell it and wants to know a good price for it if he wants it to move quickly. Any ideas from the folks on the forum? It has a couple of pick marks on it and it plays great. I will get some pics of it up and maybe post it on the Buy Sell Trade. Thanks for your thoughts. JM
GotTheSilver Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Couldn't tell you personally, but I would suggest looking at some completed listings on eBay to get a sense of what they are going for.
Jeremy Morton Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Thanks for the help guys. He ended up letting it go cheap. JM
J-1854Me Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Jeremy, I don't know that a lot of folks understand the distinction that the "TV" series brings, so that aspect might have to be 'sold' a bit more. Besides which, it's almost apocryphal that to some people's ears, a "standard" (or, for that matter, a reg'lar ol' J-45 from BEFORE the era of TV) might sound better than the vaunted TV or maybe even Legend model next to it. All that, just to make the observation that given favourable conditions, yes, you might top say, $2.1k for that J-45 TV, but you may also, in less favourable markets, see reduced interest until or unless the price were dropped to a lower level, possibly even $1.6k. As suggested above, maybe do a gbase.com, ebay and general search online. Fred
