I did post an introduction in the “Lounge” but I thought I would post a brief one here as well. I’ll be spending most of my time here anyway… I’m glad I found this forum. I think we live in the best time ever to acquire great guitars at great prices like the Epi’s.

The guitars: My first Epi was a 2000 Gold Top, then an Elitist SG and Casino. Those are all gone now but I do have the following Epiphone’s:

‘05 Viola Bass VS

‘09 Les Paul Plain Top Bigsby

‘09 Riviera CH

‘09 DOT VS

‘10 Les Paul Special SC

I look forward to learning a bit and chiming in now and then.post-37657-088988000 1323545887_thumb.jpg

Welcome to the forum Spruce Top. There's tons of knowledgeable folks around here and you will learn a lot. Great looking guitars you have there. You don't like Bigsby's do you? LOL

BTW, are those mini humbuckers in your LP Special?

Yes mini's in the Special. They're GFS Mini 59's. I do like P-90 tones but I like mini's better. They're very quite and great tone. Plus they're 4 conductor. So I hooked up a push/pull switch to coil cut the back coils. All you have to do to make the conversion is drill a couple of small, shallow holes for the mounting screws (although I did have to make a small block for the bridge position pu mount because of the body routing for the 3-way and neck pu wires). I converted a 3 pu Yamaha TVL as well but I had to sand the lower edges of the rings to get them in. The pu routes were tighter than the Epi's.

Welcome to the forum ST, there should be a Bigsby hanging off the arse of every guitar, you have the right idea there, nice collection btw.

I love Brian Setzer's playing. So I've had some Gretsch's and I learned to love the Bigsby's. I always bring two guitars to gigs and they both have to have trems.
