Buc McMaster Posted December 26, 2011 Share Posted December 26, 2011 Some months ago now some of you may remember a collaboration between Krassi (Mr Gibs) and myself, Helldorado. It's been quite sometime since I've played the song as it was originally written and as I was fumbling around with the guitar this afternoon it kinda fell out in front of me once more. I was reminded how much I enjoyed this one in the writing. As we know from Krassi's work, a lyric can be treated more than one way melodically...........this is the way it was originally written. Akhenaten has a very warm voice for this sad tale of an apathetic town. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9omL5_4A1k Krassi found his version for me. So here we have them side by side. I must say that Krassi had not heard the original version of the song......the melody and guitar work on this one is all his! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKB6H7M5lEg This is not posted as a "choose one" kind of thing.....just a very interesting interpretation of a lyric, without any preconceived notion of how it should be other than Krassi's creative ideas!
