eor
no affilation, just passing these along. they belongs here. also, this keeps me from doing something i should not. sorrento note:price has just been dropped to 475. 1996 Epiphone Sorrento w/ case, rare Pelham Blue! Great guitars, made in Korea, excellent quality. For those who don't know, the Sorrento is basically like a Casino but with a gingle cutaway. Its fully hollow, nice and light, has great P-90's. The Pelham Blue is one of the more rare finishes for this guitar, if you can even find them at all. this one is in very nice shape with just a few flaws to report. One is a finish crack a little less than an inch long dead center on the back. There is also a ding on the side of the headstock, and a small scratch or finish flaw on the back about an inch or two away from the neck joint. That flaw/scratch doesn't involve the neck or neck joint, just using that as a reference point. Other than that, it plays and sounds amazing. Very little fret wear and no electronic issues. A very nice guitar. Also included is a newer Epiphone hardshell case; the case has a scuff or two on the outside, some of which may clean off, but structurally its perfect and it doesn't have that funky old case smell. It was actually purchased brand new within the last 6 months specifically for this guitar. Price is a very reasonable $525 shipped in the CONUS. Paypal is preferred and I don't charge extra for the fee. Thanks for looking! -- sheraton FS/FT: Epiphone Sheraton Elitist I just got this really cool and rare guitar, if you know about the Epiphone Elitist's then you know what I'm talking about. Although it's really, really nice, I'm just more of a Fender guy. I'm interested in trading for some type of Fender tele with humbucker(s), (USA or MIJ guitars only, please). Maybe a USA tele deluxe re-issue, or something similar? Let me know what you've got. Thanks! RobinTheHood
No Elitist has been made in 1995....... JDM probably Its an Elitist. You can see the label on the back of the headstock. Probably 2005 instead of 1995. I though Gruhn was supposed to know his stuff
RobinTheHood
Don't have Elitists another serial# system....? From the Gibson serial number page. Its probably on the ID Your Guitar page too, Epiphone Elite/Elitist models FYSSSS F= Factory Code (this code will be an "F" or "T") Y= Year of manufacture (2 = 2002, 3 = 2003, etc.) SSSS= Sequential Serial Number Example - T41234 is a 2004 Elitist model
LPDEN
Yep, 2005 Elitist Sheraton. Did Gruhn's really list it as a '95? That would surprise me. His staff is usually on top of it from my experience of dealings with his shop. Nice looking guitars! Good luck with the sale.
bobouz
It would have been very cool if they'd made those Peerless Sorrentos with mini-humbuckers like the originals. With the P90s, I'm guessing it's too similar to the Peerless Casino (already have one) to interest me in a purchase. Still, that pelham blue is quite nice! mgrasso
Sorrentos are great guitars. Mine is orange and from the Peerless plant. Had the electronics replaced but kept the original pups. Sounds great through my Blues Junior. Great tone, comfortable neck. I also have a Casino from the Peerless plant, but the two have different voices. (That's why we all need one of each .
