Searcy
Does Gibson use Stereo or Mono jacks? 99% of the time they are mono.
tazzboy
Yep unless the Guitar is an ES model that has vairtone on it like B.B. Kings. Then it's stereo. http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/ES/Gibson-Custom/BB-King-Lucille-Limited/Pickups-and-Electronics.aspx

69tele
actually unless I am mistaken the BB king (my singer has one) uses 2 x mono 1/4" jacks to output in stereo. but not stereo jacks per say. Only active instruments usually basses use stereo jacks to supply power to there circuits. etc.
vincentw
yeah, slightly ambiguous subject in light of the stereo capability of some ES models, leading to some confusion.

The Mono out needs to be "told" the Stereo out is not in use... or you'd miss half the signal. All EMG fitted Gibsons ie Zakk Wylde models.
