pippy
I've no idea if this link will work outside the UK but here's the documentary screened last Friday on the Beeb. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01f1bwb/Southern_Rock_at_the_BBC/ It's a fascinating programme for those interested in the music of the south from the late sixties through the mid seventies. pfox14
Unfortunately, it says this program is only viewable in the UK. Can't see it here in the US.
chrisnorthw
The BBC i-player is only available to UK viewers. I watched all the programmes yesterday. Took me back to happy times as saw L Skynryd in 1976 at Knebworth Festival in the original line up before the Plane crash in 77. Bet you can't guess what the final song was!?! Daryl M
Maybe it'll make it to 'NetFlix' before long.

Hmmm.........I rather thought that might be the case. Sorry, pfox (and others). At least some of the members in the UK might get a second chance to tune in, though. P. jdgm
I watched it yesterday. Very good programme. I didn't know just how influential Duane Allman was. Emphasised the good parts not the bad. Started with the murder of MLK in Memphis to drive the point about segregation, and what the Southern rock movement was pushing against, home. I loved most of it at the time and still have original Capricorn vinyl of 'Live at Fillmore East'.
