Rabs
Just wondering what the main differences are between these two. I love the manhattan blue colour... I believe that the Plus relates to the flamed tops of the Classic Plus.. The Customs have well some custom features and 57s pickups the Plus has the usual Classic 496R and 500T pickups which are far hotter and higher output than the 57s that are more mellow. Id go for the Classic Plus but thats just me :)
quapman
And cosmetically the classic custom has the block inlays vs the trapezoids and the split diamond on the headstock,, same as the custom. My new CC is on its way \:D/
Bryan Sutherland
I also believe the Classic Plus has a 60's neck profile, where the Classic Custom has the 50's neck profile. I have a Classic Custom, which was my first Les Paul, and I wasn't in love with the 57 Classic in the bridge. I ended up swapping both pickups, along with pots/caps, for the 500T/496R set and now it sounds like a beast. There are a lot of folks on this forum that have the Classic Custom. btoth76
Hello Bryan! The CC has 60s Slim Taper neck, whilst with the CP You have the choice of both 50s and 60s style necks. The CC looks like a Custom, the CP looks like a Standard. Cheers... Bence
