rar
... The values will begin to DROP! NO DOUBT. So you figure that Ren will suffer the same fate as poor Lloyd Loar, who's Gibson instruments became worthless as a result of his work for Acousti-Lectric? -- Bob R
Jerry K
That flamed maple square shoulder dreadnought looked vaguely reminiscent of a Gibson, didn't it? I find the concept of him interacting with another shop to produce limited runs intriguing. That particular guitar almost looked like he made a prototype which they then proceeded to build. It would be interesting to find out how those designs came about.

rar
It would be interesting to find out how those designs came about. There was a collaborative design session at the plant in New Hartford. Ren went home, did design drawings in his shop office, and shipped them back for execution. He now has faith that the folks in New Hartford -- who are extremely experienced and have great tool support -- can do anything he asks of them. -- Bob R
