KVL
Hey gang, I found a used Epi LP Custom Silverburst at a local GC for $499. Cosmetically, it's near mint and for the 5 minutes or so I played it, it played very well. It also felt very hefty and it certainly has the LP mojo. Does that sound high, or is that a decent price? midiman56
Hey! If the guitar spoke to you, then maybe there is just something special aboput it. However, I suggest you get on over to your nearest Guitar Center. There you can get a brand new (with warranty and a 30 day return policy) Epiphone Les Paul Custom pro in silverburst. That's with the upgraded pickups and coil splitting for only $100 dollars more (or only $10 more if you go on the GC site first and print yourself the %15 coupon). Play the new one. You might just like the used one better and if so, go for it. The price is a bit high on the used though ... by about a $100. Good luck! Jim +1, I've got the new Silverburst Custom Pro, has Probuckers w/ Coil tapping as stock pups, and also Grover Tuners. IMHO and personal experience, I've found the new Custom Pro to be better in value and upgrades.
KVL
The kids got me a GC gift card for my birthday, so I went in just to kill some time and grab a strap for the Casino. I saw it and said WTH, and picked it up. It did have Grover's & speed knobs, but I didn't think to check if they were splitters. They were closing soon so I just grabbed the strap & left. I'll probably pass. Check this follow up thread.... http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/91279-lp-classic-vs-standard/
