Leonard McCoy
Wildwood Guitars have released a new Gibson factory tour video, this time of the USA factory in Nashville, TN. "The Gibson USA factory is so much more than an assembly line. At it’s heart, the Gibson USA facility represents the evolution of an iconic name that has truly stood the test of time. The talented team in Nashville, Tennessee is lifeblood of this legendary brand, pushing the boundaries of possibility while paying tribute to its storied past. These individuals pour their heart and soul into crafting some of the finest instruments on the planet. These instruments are hand-crafted, and each one has a story as unique as the musicians that embrace them. From modern classics like the Les Paul Standard, Les Paul Traditional, and SG Standard, to the avant-garde magic of the Explorer, Flying V and newly-introduced HP (High Performance) series, the Gibson USA lineup of instruments is better than ever. "Gibson’s unrelenting passion and dedication to tone has cemented it’s legacy as a world class brand and the guitar of choice for decades. The attention to detail and workmanship that the Gibson USA factory imparts to each of these is the best in their history, approaching a new golden age of guitars. "Join us on our journey to Nashville, TN; where we'll pull back the curtain and step inside the always inspiring Gibson USA factory." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMHSZEsu2eU
Rabs
Cheers.. Ive probably seen all the videos on the various Gibson factories but there was some interesting stuff in there about the wood they use. Also I have always wondered about how they radius a board.. In that vid you see someone with a hand sander.. I don't know if that person was just finishing but ive never seen an automated machine that does that. So im still none the wiser on that but it was cool anyway

KevinM
Thanks for the video. I liked it very much. Gibbys are about as close as you can get to a fully hand built guitar in mass production. Makes me proud!
