  1. Has anyone else got bored with both Slash and his signature guitars, it's all becoming old hat, as they say ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. As everyone else has said, it's the timber. I like it, it's got plenty of character, I think you got lucky finding that one.
  3. Sorry to hear about your health problems but it sounds like your getting the best care, I hope everything goes well๐Ÿ‘
  4. I think I'm going to have to pass on that.
  5. Good to hear that your home John, I hope you get your surgery and cancer treatment as soon as possible.
  6. Sorry to hear this, the Moody's were such a great creative and live band. RIP Mike
  7. Rabs, please send John our very best regards and we've all got our fingers crossed. I'm hoping he will make a re-appearance here as soon as possible.
  8. Many thanks for all your replies, as Bigtim suggests, "something to think about". I am quite surprised by the weight of those newer Classics, considering they are weight-relieved, my old Classic Antique weighs between 7 and 7.5lbs.
  9. I should have mentioned that shortly after buying the Traditional got an R8, so the Trad became redundant. I've had it from new, so I suspect it's not going to grow on me. Beautiful guitar nevertheless.
  10. I have a 2014 Les Paul Traditional that I never use (it's actually like a brand new 10 year old guitar, the only thing I've done to it is remove the pickguard). I've really taken a fancy to buy a new Les Paul Classic because of the sound options, particularly the out-of-phase option. I know some people would think trading the Trad for a classic is a backward step, considering the Trad has a solid body and the 59 tribute humbuckers, so I thought I'd ask the wise people on here, would you do it?
  11. I'm currently working on Romanza, Spanish Romance. Here's a young Lady doing a particularly appealing rendition. Mine doesn't sound anything like this yet but we live in hope๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife John, I hope you find whatever you need to make you happy.
  13. Impressive rig, enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. The Midnight Special channel on YouTube has some great music videos, a real Gold mine.
