  1. Wow...been inactive for awhile and I see people here biggering over prices? ... Well, anyways I placed an order at Sweetwater for the pelham blue 2019 SG Special and I think its a fair price for this guitar. Gibson did not put a gun to my head in purchasing it. I WANT IT and I DECIDED I will pay the fair asking price for it. Cool thing about Gibson is that they offer USA made guitars at every price point all can afford, $799 and up...
  2. As of October 17, 2018, that Gibson serial number scheme is no longer valid for Gibson USA guitars that were manufactured after 2013. Gibson USA 2014 to present – These serial numbers cannot be dated to a specific day of the year. The new model year typically launches in the fall as the current model year winds down. It is not uncommon for a new model year model to be produced during the previous model year (example – a 2015 model may have been built in late 2014). The pattern is as follows: YYRRRRRRR YY is the model year RRRRRRR is the number in product for the model year (starts at 0000001)
  3. Wow!! That tape echo looks similar to my old EP4. Yes, those old tape echos sound amazing. I haven't been building any pedals lately. I've been so busy with work, helping plan the rail system and commuting back and forth to work to downtown which takes up most of my time. Glad to see you are doing great my friend!
  4. Hey Dubs!!! Likewise.. great seeing you again! You still active in creating those cool pedals?
  5. Thanks! You can't go wrong finding that mean raw rock tone with P90 pickups.
  6. Great score! You gonna love those P90s, very mean rock sounding pickups. They are noisy, but nothing a Boss NS-2 can't fix. I have those P90s on my Gibson Les Paul Tribute and they sound awesome!
  7. Did the seller sold you the guitar as a genuine "Gibson Les Paul Supreme" and you paid accordingly for it? But, you later found the guitar was a fake. So yes, call the law authorities on the person that sold you the guitar and keep that guitar as evidence when you go to court.
  8. OMG..., apple and oranges, Tesla vs Hell Cat, Blond vs Brunettes, Waxed vs Bushy, Mac vs PC, Big feet vs Small feet, Hamburgers vs Hotdogs, its one of those beating a dead horse, middle school comment threads again??? Jeez... does a good mechanic use a wrench to screw in a screw or use a screwdriver? Use the proper tool for what the job needs. If the song calls for strat sound use a strat. If calls for a les paul use a les paul. Jeez
  9. I got the truss rod wrench, the allen wrench for the bridge, but no allen wrench for the Steinberger tuners.
  10. Nope….the allen wrench was for the bridge. It also came with the truss rod wrench, but not for the Steinberger tuner.
  11. Excellent work as always Dubs Your wire management skills is an art in itself, clean and flowing.
  12. Problem solved. The allen screws on the knurled knob were loose.
  13. Man….this sucks. I just got my new Gibson Firebird 2016 T yesterday and when I was tuning up the D string the knurl knob from the back of the headstock fell off. WTF?? I heard a snap, but I see no signs of anything breaking off. The guitar is only two days old and I've been waiting for about month since it was backordered. I don't want to send it back because sweetwater does not have any to replace it with. I hope it was just a loose allen screw…but what is the size, not sure if its in Metric or US sizing. Anyone else had this issue?
  14. That sounds great Dubs Hmm...I think I'll build one with those options.... What input cap value would be close to clapton's blues breaker tone, the Beano album?
