@JonnyGuitar youd have to plane the fretboard, it's not just the frets that make the radius

@BoSoxBiker the point Bonamassa was trying to make was
If you have everything on 10, then you really have nowhere to go but down,
Set your tone /volume 5-6 , set your amp up to volume and tone you like.
Now you have control at your fingertips

I play in a Catholic church choir (so very structured not a music jam)..
we have somewhere around 150 songs we play through the year.. I used to use a large binder.. then had a Android tablet running Moblesheets for my songs in PDF format and organized into set lists. but at 10.5" I wanted larger. my son bought me a iPad Pro at 12.9" bigger screen much nicer. Used the same PDF's to populate Forescore for IOS. organizes great
I read music to get the melody, but mostly use chord charts in the music; I'm still struggling with the music theory which helps people a lot
my buddy knows theory really well and his fretboard better than me can know which notes are best in which progression as he knows the Keys and Notes better than I

or use that ad riddled site IMGUR.com to upload your pictures and post the URL link here
as said.. looks like wood grain patten

I like the quilt, gold hardware and all the abalone inlays,
Guess it's the inner "bling" in me, cause certainly isn't in my playing 🙈

@Afrevele need to use a photo image site like imgur.com

I think you'll regret getting rid of the 335.
Very versatile, hummingbird will only give you great acoustic sound
-
Think you mean clear the bridge pickup, not board
Neck pickup is quite low, bridge pickup looks pretty high,
-
Looks like some sort of metal shim
Take it to a good dealer to look at if you want to keep the guitar
Guess otherwise send it back
-
Some said it was the plastic covers on control panel.
But since you sent the guitar back, we can't recommend anything more
Like to try like take the control cover off

Sounds like a "funny" description
I've seen people post pictures over the yrs of their headstock where the nitro is lifting a bit esp around the tuner nuts
Can't remember what everyone said was the cause.
My 2001 is still perfect.

1 no magic on posting pictures here, get yourself a public imaging site like imgur.com and past/post the jpg link.
2 don't get mad but there's a reason why guitars with "standard " transmissions have been a frustration to many guitarists that they've blocked the tremo
Good luck; but now you know how to post pictures for the vibrolo experts to see

On the main page, 3rd header down
Scroll down
Gibson USA
Gibson Custom
Gibson Acoustic
My opinion: play the guitar if it sounds good to you and price you feel is good buy it.
Acoustic guitars need more care than electric.
Make sure glue hasn't dried out.
Neck doesn't need a reset, bridge isn't lifting, etc.

Vos finish is just not polished as a standard buffed shiny.
When you play you are buffing the surface shiney
Just spray your arms with Deep Woods OFF bug spray if you want to keep your finish hazy..
Trust me that really hazes out a nitro finish that can't be reversed

Wine red is nice.
Play it all day n night

Your best best would be to contact Gruhn's Guitars for an "official " value for an insurance company
-
Guess that's why they're the "exclusive " edition guitars.
Otherwise they wouldn't be
-
oh. they didn't like the jack or the mounting plate .. they made their own from a small PCB board and a 1/4" connector..
like everyone else said.. buy a new one.
I probably wouldn't use another Neutrik connector..
I'd probably by a standard cover plate use that existing 1/4" if the solder was done correctly and just loop my guitar cable through the strap like the 'old' days .

yes "custom" orders are harder to return.
if it came from L&M they're pretty good at helping out make things right from what I've found...
use a fine eye to look for anything to have them "make it right" for you
I know for the price you're a bit miffed (as some others) but if "us" guitar folk used as close an eye on the cars we buy for well over $20k (most cases 40k++) we'd never get a new car.
If all that's wrong is the TRC.. enjoy the guitar and put some belt buckle rashes into it.. show it that it's loved.

What it looks like is someone used sandpaper to try and relic the guitar and did a poor job
You won't be able to polish that out
I would say you'll need to bring it to a guitar repair shop.
Nitro is pretty maliable and they probably could put another layer of Nitro on it and smooth out surface

Hi Folks,
Thanks for your replies merciful-evans and NighthawkChris. I will hold off purchase for now. Hopefully Gibson monitors there own forum and provide a definitive answer.
Terry
you're going to have a long wait.
almost never on this user forum do you see "admin" here and answer anything.
the info posted in those links does not say push/pull pots.. so my money says.. 2 conductor wiring not 4.
but if you want a real answer.. call Gibson Customer Service..

Gibson has changed numbering system a few times, and in the "old" days even reused serial numbers.
Whether its 5 digits , 6 digits or more
Date code project really only tells you year , plant (Nashville/Memphis) and production number at best.
Would be best to call Gibson Custom service when they open on Monday
They should give you a bit more detail

Binding is over spray with a looks of what's called orange peel.
It will wear off playing
But the specks on body.
Not sure,
Possibly air got into paint stream
Will have to send it back if you can't live with it

Quilt top
Cool
It's time to let my custom go

I'm guessing an ES137 probably would go for 2500-2800
