  1. I like the wing mirrors on this guitar ^ Rod , the question 'why' toward necks was directed toward the fact that something tried and tested shouldn't be messed with. I'm not averse to three or indeed five piece necks.
  2. ThE mans a genius Those couple bits sending the notes sharp, good call . Do you add the effects live or after recording? And what software if any. Nice sound to the vocals , noticeable in the voice only part at end. Great stuff BK. Really really good
  3. Ha. David Brent country. Welcome here Dennis. Here's Hoping for some sound / video clips .
  4. I hope you're in Nottingham and that didn't mean that you like to run around in tights
  5. Yeah, I understand that much. Just wondered how anyone would dare change the guitar that the company is more or less grown from? I'm sure coca cola could make a lot more money with a recipe change but can't see it getting passed at a board meeting
  6. Why did they make 3 piece maple necks on J45's ? And indeed J50's?
  7. I'd forgot to listen, sorry. Just did. Good stuff as expected . Who does that song ? I know I've heard it but can't place it
  8. Did you play at the beach after the neck was reset ? Or you got the neck reset after the beach played havoc? A neck set should last more than 6 years no?
  9. A big fancy camera like that and you manage photo your own reflection . Honestly BK.
  10. Not being a guy who's fussy about laminates ... are gospels any good ? Or just buy a epiphone ?

  17. hi sawyer , nice to see another gibson fan . i can see why you like it so much , i'm not the songwriters biggest fan but thats very pretty has to be said. hopefully we'll get to hear the thing to with a video or two , theres half a dozen of us here who regularly annoy the other members by ruining favourite songs .
  18. was reading on the agf , seeing as nothing's happening here at the minute , about finish checking - who likes it and who doesnt is the point of that particular thread . i was wondering what causes it ? i am assuming that changes in temperature would speed it along ? if that is so then would it not be unwise to buy a guitar that has checking being an indication that it has been exposed to changes ? and yet i have read in the past of how people love it and would nearly be an encouraging thing when purchasing . does it start tiny and spread ? how old should a guitar be before you would expect to see checking ? any pictures would make this interesting :-)
  19. nice song big fella pretty little guitar too !
  20. that seems to be a decent explaination , i'm fully willing to accept that i maybe just dont hear things that others do ....
  21. PLEASE don't take this the wrong way , i'm glad you hear a difference , i'm nott a who's wrong and who's right kinda guy .... but why do you think you get a difference and i dont ? there must be something ... maybe i've just got useless ears , lord knows it might explain my playing ... anyone got a theory on this ? cant be the guitars because some of the 'believers' have more than one guitar as do the non-believers ..
