  1. Unfortunately my wife wouldn’t allow my Guitars, as beautiful as some of them are, to hung in our House.. I was thinking this gift Casino would be good for Jam Sessions & noodling. Maybe I should just do the Pickups for now?
  2. That’s the dilemma.. Originally I was thinking of just doing the Pickups which would cut the overall cost in half.. I know most of the YouTubes I’ve watched that’s most guys do & it’s still a major improvement in sound.. I have 3 other USA Spec Casino’s. One of them is a USA Casino.. Casino’s are my most played Electric Guitars..
  3. Mike Campbell, Lead Guitarist for Tom Petty & The Heartbreaker’s used a Princeton..
  4. These are the P90 Pickups I’m looking at. Fralins are excellent & they’re the only Company offering them with Chrome Dogear Covers. They’re a straight drop in fit.. https://www.fralinpickups.com/product/p90/ This is probably the Prewired Electronics kit.. CTS 500K vintage-taper, short-shaft potentiometers boast 7% tolerance Switchcraft short-straight toggle switch Switchcraft mono input jack Vitamin T oil-filled, .022uf capacitors Shielded, cloth-covered, 22-gauge black wire Fits most ES-335-style instruments https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Z43W148--mojo-tone-pre-wired-es-335-guitar-wiring-harness Any advice, thoughts or recommendations?
  5. How is it coming along for the Songbird? I'm hoping you get it..
  6. It’s definitely a matter of taste.. Mostly Rosewood vs Mahogany.. I’ve loved the sound of my D-35 from the day I got it in 1975 & more each year since.. Martin makes World Class Guitars from the D-18 to the D-45’s.. Arguably some of the best Guitars on the Planet.. I’ve played many smaller Body Martin & Gibson models I liked too… I look funny with them.. I think they look like Ukes on me.. Same with Gibson & USA Guilds.. They’re just different… I own Gibson, Epi & Martin Acoustics. I want to add a Guild.. I love Guitars by all these Companies..
  7. I got a gift from my Daughter & Son in law of a MIC Vintage Sunburst Epiphone Casino with Bigsby.. I won't sell it as it has sentimental value to me.. I'm not a fan of the Chinese P90's though.. So I'm thinking of upgrading pickups to Fralins P90's as they're excellent& they're the only ones I can find that have Chrome Dogear Covers that fit.. So they're a drop in fit. $252.00 for Neck & Bridge.... I have a Bigsby B-7 which I'm thinking of swapping the B-70 that's on it now.. I'm thinking I should go ahead & upgrade the Pots, Caps, 3 Way Switch & the Jack.. Question is, which ones should I use? A complete Wiring Kit would be good too.. I want to have a Vintage Casino Sound but I don't want to go crazy on $$$ since it will always be an MIC Guitar.. Your suggestions & recommendations are appreciated.. Thanks
  8. Just saying, I’m not aware of any major brand name Hand Wired USA or UK Tube Amp with all the same features, Wood Cabinet, same Watts with Attenuator in this Price range
  9. While both offer luscious spring reverb and rich, pulsating tube-biased tremolo effects.. Neither are Hand Wired..
  10. From what I’ve researched, not for $1799.00..
  11. Which is why you should play before buying.. Keep in mind the Vintera is MIM not USA…
  12. Neither Fender, Vox or Marshall offer the Hypnotic throb of an all-tube tremolo.. LOL!
  13. Same with early Vox & Marshall Amps… Fender doesn’t offer a USA HW Amp like the Falcon 20, with it’s features for $1799.00.. Neither do Vox or Marshall (made in UK) as far as I know..
  14. I think your comments helped get me to where I am.. And I appreciate them.. It doesn't hurt me to get more knowledge.. I do try to research & make the best decisions.. Still, it always seems there's always more....
  15. I have had a Mesa California Tweed on my List for a few years... But, just never pulled the trigger... This Falcon 20 Amp has features that I really like that my other Amps don't have.. I like the Attenuator & it having a Hand Wired Circuit Board. And weighing in at 31 lbs... Also, with a 6V6, (or was it a 6L6), it will put out 15 Watts (Like my AC15) which is plenty powerful. I think they chose a great Celestion Speaker.. It seems to sound similar to a Celestion Alnico Blue.. Also that's it's made in California, USA.. Very interesting to me... I do have to try one out..
  16. I'll check my File.. It may not say Masterbilt.. It may say Master Built.. As it was built in the Gibson Bozeman Factory... If I remember it was a Ltd Edition model. Also, It's a Solid Top J-160E... The Split may or may not be a Warranty issue.. That remains to be seen.. I have had to send Guitar's to Gibson for Warranty Repair in the past.. I tell them what I think.. They tell me what they think.. And we go from there.. They have always treated me right.. I would hope they still will.. It appears that Gluing & using Cleats is the most common way to fix these types of Cracks.. If that's what they recommend that's what we'll do.. I will also ask them to do a thorough inspection inside & out & take care of anything it needs...
  17. According to what they state in that Ad is they called them Masterbilt but it appears they were built in the Bozeman Custom Shop by their Master Craftsmen…
  18. What does hitting the Tubes do?
  19. Then this… And the rest of their Albums to the Greatest Hits Album..
  20. Then this.. And the rest of their albums to Let It Be….
  21. Then here.. And the rest of their 60’s albums..
  22. Where it says, Create your own work of Art, it implies Masterbilts are Custom Shop built if I’m reading that right….
