  1. Oh, but that was Elvis Presley's favorite! Never could get myself to try one. Lol
  2. The wife had two coupons for free little Kings sandwiches. So we ate for free at lunch. Dinner was warmed up spaghetti in our new microwave installed yesterday. And a salad.
  3. Thanks, Rob. I'll tell her for you. She will apreciate the birthday wish coming all the way from Australia. I talk a lot about you to her so she knows you.
  4. Chinese resturaunt buffet. Love sweet and sour chicken. Celebrated by wife's Birthday today and her aunt treated us both. Then for dinner her parents took us both to Chedderar's for a treat. I had homemade chicken pot pie with a salad.
  5. Would you believe? On Mothers Day the son gave his mom a gift certificate for Burger King? It's an old family joke really but her step dad gave her a coupon also and we both had a free Whopper Meal. Joy! Then spaghetti tonight.
  6. Barbecue chicken, small potato and beans for lunch and Kentucky fried chicken as invited guests for dinner.
  7. Turkey club sandwich for lunch with ice tea and a sub turkey sandwich for dinner with root beer. We tore the kitchen apart today so now we have no stove or oven, no microwave and no dishwasher. The sink will come out next to get ready for the new countertop when it comes in. The wife tells me we will be doing Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for awhile here. Lol
  8. Shudder? That sounds good. Not a diet I'd want to be on everyday but when we're on vacation, a road side stop and peanut butter and strawberries sandwich hits the spot, with chips and a soda or water. That sounds good too. My mom used to make cucumber slices and soak them overnight in vinegar and pepper with a little salt too I think. Today was spaghetti Works. The wife had a coupon to get a free meal for her Birthday. Turns 60 May 11 and it was great! Actually it really was, in spight of having to use the restroom three times right afterwards. Lol yeah, something gave me a real bad stomach ache. So went home and to bed for a bit.
  9. Lunch was at La Masses with two co workers that retired after me. Comparing old memories. I had a three enchilada menu. One beef, one chicken and one cheese. Couldn't find a just two one but they were small.
  10. Love that Joe Walsh. Wife and I saw him with the Eagles three times now. And I think we saw him perform somewhere with another group too. Anyway, I'm just listening to McClintock, there playing John Wayne on the tube.
  11. And what do you do that is so speacial if I may ask? I admit, I don't put the peanut butter on too thick but I love the Smuglers strawberry jelly on thick. Some like butter with the peanut butter on heavy like my wife, but she barely skims the jelly. She never eats the outside crust either. Never has since she was a little girl. That's why when she eats one, our Doberman follows her wherever she goes. He loves whatever she feeds him!
  12. Yesterday I was consumed reading through the "Is this a authentic Gibson thread" she thought I was spending too much time here so I got off early. Lol, that's a battle they have on that thread. I think Deb started off with allergies, pollen is bad here. Coughing a lot, Clean X's galore. She got so bad she is really hourse I guess they call it. Can't hardly talk and hard to understand her. Now she has a sore thought and can't swallow anything so we're not doing dinner tonight. I had a big lunch anyway at the Golden Corral which has about anything you want to eat buffet. I had a small bowl of chili, a orange oriental chicken with onion and green peppers, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, tacos, and other stuff with a desert. So I was stuffed and didn't want to eat tonight if she couldn't. Really feel bad for her and she's going sewing at Bernina tomorrow with gals. She is going to have to have soup for awhile. I'm going out to eat lunch tomorrow with a couple of friends I worked with at the BNSF railroad that retired way after me so we can catch up on Ol' times. Yeah I hope they both get better quickly, Deb and Gale, sounds they both have the same thing. Deb prefers to sleep on the downstairs couch so she can prop her head up. She coughs a lot at night and gets no sleep.
  13. That sounds delicious, with spring here and summer coming up, I'll have to get our grill out and do some cooking. Our stove went out some time back and we're waiting on the countertop to come in before we can redo the kitchen. Today it was eggs for breakfast and toast. Dinner was Famous Daves. Beef biscuit and chicken breast with baked beans and potatoes. No lunch as I had to babysit the grandson. The wife is feeling way down.
  14. Sorry, I forgot. Lunch was a pepper jakes philly steak, fries and drink and dinner was with the wife at Noodles and I had a small bowl of chicken noodle soup and a small chicken wrap that came with it. Very good.
  15. Sort of sounds to me it could be the ulcers. I know how you feel too! When I went through that brain tumor cancer, and the treatments, the Chemo drugs they gave me didn't really bother me. And I got hit up hard. The radiation treatments were another thing. They treated me from my eyebrows over my head, and down my back to the tailbone. So the radiation sprayed through my back irritating my stomach. Anyway. Everything I ate tasted weird. When I came home from the hospital way back, my wife made chip beef on toast, I took one bite and spit it out. "My god I said, did you dump the entire container of salt on it?" We couldn't figure it out, why my taste of salt was magnified over other people. There were many things I found I couldn't eat because of the radiation treatments. I bet your experiencing the same effects with your ulcers. And the medication may not help matters either. I would talk to your doctor and report what it's doing to you.
  16. Are you feeling a little better Digger? Glad your back home and feeling better soon. Tonight is now: pepper Jacks with a steak giant Burrito and Pepsi.
  17. Valentinos Pizza Buffet. Met the wife and grandson there. She baby sat this morning, and was glad I came. He wouldn't eat for her but he ate a whole slice of pizza for Grandpa and smiled while he took each bite! So cute at that age.
  18. Feed that old Kangaroo and get better! Well they just said that tornado that touched down went back up and didn't do any damage. We checked with the wife's mom and their fine. Still talking about more storms, there coming up from Texas. I had a cheese burger and fries tonight.
  19. Late lunch today. 2:00 we had chicken with oriental noodles. A Tia Pai I think they called it. Not sure what dinner will be, were in a tornado watch with what the wife just said, one touched down by her moms house several miles from here. Have the news on now and we may cancel going out to the spa tonight.
  20. Two chilli float enchiladas, one beef, and one chicken with rice and refried beans. That's lunch. Hamburger and fries dinner.
  21. Lunch was boneless chicken breast with spaghetti and vegetables. Beer cheese and chilli on top of the spaghetti. Left overs tonight. And garlic bread.
  22. Forgot this thread, we're just having one meal today, I had chicken and dumplings, it was good but the wife makes killer dumplings that is 10 times better.
  23. That I'm not sure. Now, I have a $100.00 Vox amp. It's plenty loud and I set it at very low sound levels but when I turn the knobs from say vibrato, to clean or echo, it sometimes kicks off, no sound to a hum noise that irritates the wife. Doesn't bother me as I'm half deaf and can't hear it. Im not looking for a expensive multi thousand dollar amp but I would like something that would compliment my Gibson Gold Top Standard and the BB King custom Lucillie I plan to get sometime in the future. I was going to start with Marshal and check some out? I do like amps that have stuff on them that can go blues, California clean, vibrate, fuzz, ect. But was hopping to pick one up for $1000.00 or. Less. Maybe around $500 to $700?? I don't know. I just play at home and don't gig. Thanks. I was born in Sioux City Iowa and moved when I was 'Two' in Council Bluffs Iowa. I moved to Omaha Nebraska when I married at 26 years old and lived here ever since as this is where she lived and had her home. Now we're in Old Millard Omaha and have been here the last 20 some years. We're about one mile from our grandson and his mom and our son's home so the wife has no plans to move anymore. We just spent some unexpected money this trip. The wife bought into some property down here so we'll be coming down here more often about once a year and we can bring Sundance with us instead of leaving him home for someone to take care of him. And we still can go to South Dakota as we have a farm up there that she rents out to a guy to farm the fields. We love the Black Hills. We are going to another show tonight so I'll be leaving in a bit, just thought I'd check in a bit to see what was going on and say hi everyone. I heard about Prince. That was so sad and unbelievable that the Flu got him
  24. The wife and I are at Branson Missouri celebrating my 63rd Birthday. It was the 22 and I had a fillet steak and cinnamon apples for dinner and it was soooo, good. Lunches here are wherever. I get to pick out my new Amp for my gift when I get back at home. Ill be asking you guys for advice later and I will be trying some out at Dietz music next week.
