  1. We are in the city. Omaha Nebraska. There are tons of restaurants here. Today is leftovers from Spagetti Works for me. Wife is babysitting Grayson.
  2. We at at Spagetti Works. Don't know what it was called, but we each had a piece of boneless chicken breast, broccoli, red pepper slices, Butternut squash, spaghetti with Beer cheese and chilli. And garlic bread. My favorite place to go! Dinner was Valentinos pizza baffet.
  3. Our appliances came in so soon, Deb will be cooking again. We've been without a stove this whole year. Ours broke. First our countertop has to come in. So after church, she wanted to go to Granite City for lunch. Rarely go there because of its high prices. But we had their Buffet? Got a stomach ach from something I ate there. Think it was the cheesy potatoes. And dinner was a La Casa pizza and garlic bread.
  4. Went to the Red & White football spring game in Lincoln today and they wanted to eat at Old Chicago. Should have done my regular Cal Zone meal but I tried their bacon cheeseburger so the grandson could have some fries. Wish I didn't. Very greasy! So tonight when we got back late in Omaha, she wanted to go to The Noodles Company. I had tomato basil soup, with a chicken wrap. Very good.
  5. Ever have a BLT with Turkey and Miracle Whip? Ohhhh, that's so good! Well, I weighed about 150 lbs when I graduated High School in 72. I was 155 lbs when I got married in 79 and I was lifting weights trying to gain weight. I took all sorts of proteins and powder and vitamins and junk. Didn't really help, though I got very strong. A friend of mine tried steroids and so, I did too. Still didn't work. So at a later time, I did it again and about tripled the dose. That did the trick as every week I came into the gym, I could add 20 lbs to the bar. 10 on each side. I went from benching 175 lbs for 1 rep to 195 lbs for 10 easy reps. I maxed out at 325 lbs. I could squat 425 lbs for 5 reps. Bad thing was though, I got a brain tumor cancer and lost every thing I worked for. I later found out it was a cause from those steroids. They heal, and make things grow. Seems I had this medulloblastoma brain tumor since childhood. It never grew but those steroids made it grow. Only children get those types of tumors nd I seemed to be a mystery to the doctors of why an adult got it. It advanced so much, they said if I didn't have the surgery, I'd be dead the next day. So don't ever think about doing steroids guys. Their bad news. Funny thing though, the brain swollen so much the doc gave me the same steroids I was doing to get the swelling down. That scared me. So for over 35 years, I've weighed at 200 lbs and still work out. That's the weight I wanted. After I retired, I did gain some weight, I've been retired for 3 years come May 31 and I weigh myself every day. I'm at 203 to 2004 depends on the day and I'm 63 the 22nd of this month. So if you're like me, you don't have anything to worry about. However I did drop one meal when I left the railroad and eat twice daily now. Just not that active to eat three meals a day. I eat a big brunch that fills me up and a light dinner.
  6. To be honest, before my brain tumor in the 80's, I ate all sorts of stuff with beef and steaks being on top. When I got the chemo and radiation treatments, I threw up anything beef. Heck even a glass of water, but vomiting beef was the worst. Salt magnified ten fold so I gave up both for decades. Not to mention the severe stomach aches that felt like I was being stabbed with a knife. So of the things I could keep down and liked the taste was turkey, which my chemo therapist was happy that I was getting protein. I got hooked on it and like it more then chicken but to this day I eat both. I found out I could eat beef again about 15 years ago or so, so now I eat more of it, but the wrong kind, "fatty or greasy" goes right threw me in less then 20 minutes after I eat. The turkey I get is sliced oven baked and the breasts. I don't care for the dark meat but my wife eats the dark. I love chicken Enchiladas. There's only a few, "Handful" of places I can eat hamburgers or steak here and though the, "about 28 years" of being cancer free, I've had plenty of time to make a list of places to eat and stay away from. Deb is lactose intolerant and can't have cheese or milk. So we plan to eat out at places we know we can go to. Our meal this lunch was at Dickeys. We never been there before but her aunt wanted to see if we liked it. I agree that the beef briscut was much better then the turkey and that's saying a lot because I love the taste of turkey. Just oven baked though, not deep fried. The best place here to get baked beans is Famous Daves barbecue. They put barbecue sauce and biscuit in it. I'll make barbecue baked beans here when we have Hotdogs which is seldom.
  7. Nice catch there Digger. Wife's aunt wanted us to try a new Barbrque so we did. I had turkey and brisket with two sides. Baked beans and Cole Slaw.
  8. I love them too. When I was in my 20's, I could sit down and eat 20 tacos and not gain an oz of weight. Next day I had to eat a ton again to keep my weight at 155 lbs. So tonight for dinner? Ate at Chilli's restraint, I had 3 Chicken enchiladas with black beans, corn, green chili, cheese, rice and a coke. Very good.
  9. Brunch was leftover brisket, 4slices, and ribs, 2, with fries, 6. One pear and a chocolate covered cherry.
  10. Forgot, small bowl of chili tonight after working out.
  11. Ha ha, that's what I love about you! You do make me laugh a lot. I have to confess; I have a very fast metabolism and Deb can't keep up with me either. She stopped trying but eats what she can.
  12. Oh, yeah... And we took the rest home for leftovers for another meal because it was just two much to eat for two, and Grayson didn't eat much at all. It's really a meal for 4 at our age.
  13. You ate a Dogs eye and a dead _orse? In Crocodile Dundee II the Aborigine needed Garlic for the Bat he ate. Lol Ypu need to come to the U.S. Rob. We have literally thousands of restaurants here. Today we took the grand baby to Parkers Smoke House barbecue after a walk in Fontenale Forest in Belvue. We had a Feast for two. Pork ribs, beef brisket, chicken breast and chicken thigh and leg, cheesy potato and barbecue beans, cole slaw with cornbread and large seasoned French fries. A soda for me and iced tea for the wife. Normally it's over $35.00 for the meal and we ate for $3.28 plus a $5.00 tip. This is how we use gift cards and pin points to eat out, all the time. Oh, I forgot the Cinnamon dunkin' apples for desert! Mmmmmmm.
  14. Took the grandson to my mothers in C B Iowa so we had lunch buffet there at Golden Coral. I had hot dogs with sauerkraut for dinner.
  15. Me, just finished playing guitar! Now Steve McQueen in Nevada Smith.
  16. Wife wanted to go to Valentino's Pizza since we had the Grandson. So lunch was a buffet. Dinner was leftover spaghetti.
  17. Turkey is always my favorite. But we had Spaghetti for brunch and roast beef for dinner.
  18. I love spaghetti with chili and bear cheese with garlic bread. Today for brunch after Praire Life was a Cambridge potato casserole. That consists of potatoes, turkey, cheese, Bacon, tomatoes, hollandaise sauce and a egg on top. With blueberry muffin. Hamburgers for dinner again.
  19. Lunch, the wife had a $20.00 off at Applebee's. I had a 8 oz Top Sirloin Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed Broccoli and a appetizer, very small chicken tacos. That was brunch and for dinner I had a steak philli cheese sub from Pepper Jacks.
  20. Oh, Chinese sounds great. Haven't had it since last Christmas. Not much of a breakfast here. Had to baby sit again this morning, so on the way over I stopped at McDonalds and grabbed an Egg McMuffin and large orange juice and ate it at their house. Lunch was with the wife around 1:00 at home. Hamburgers on the grill with baked beans and a small bowl of tomato soup and small Chicken wrap at Noodles Company.
  21. Turkey Reuben for lunch on rye bread and $1.00 tacos for dinner at Big Red Keno.
  22. I have never tried one. Wife says she used to eat those when she was younger. I heard Elvis loved them. When I was little, I ate Radishes sliced on bread and butter. Today I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, (which I never do but I had to have something to eat with my last pill.) lunch was a hamburger and fries and dinner was messed up by the wife forgetting it was her parents Anniversary tomorrow, so we had to run out late at night hunting for a store that was still open to buy a card. I may pop some popcorn when I'm done here.
  23. Ha, ha, ha. I ate it Raw! I had a sub turkey sandwich today with a pill again. Have one more pill tonight and I'm done! Yeah!! Had a salad and three tacos tonight. Actually feeling pretty good and not coughing anymore.
  24. Left over La Cassa pizza for Brunch, Three slices and their really small. Then a 6" sub turkey sandwich for dinner with a Penicillin pill with each meal. Lol
