I believe what left a splatter shaped haze in the finish might be the chemical components from the can (some sort of ether). Hopefully the cleaner from Virtuoso will help, I’ll find out soon…
The small checking happened in fact, due to the cold temp of said liquid.
If I was a betting man, I would say you're on the right track. I have had a few heart attack moments like yours and that stuff bailed me out. I used both the Virtuoso cleaner and the polish, it took care of some stuff it looked worse than yours.

According to some research I’ve done online, the Virtuoso stuff will hopefully be able to help… I just ordered the cleaner and polish so I hope that works!
Virtuoso should do the trick, or at least get it to the point wear the blemish is more acceptable.
Let us know how it works out!

Good taste in guitars!
We like pictures, you know.
Preferably of your girlfriend.

I would go with the Gibson SG Standard 61.

Its probably a good thing, I have far too much equipment than I NEED. I spent far too much than my talent allows.

They screwed up the paint job and they want $3300?
HA!
Amazing isn't it!?!
Why didn't they just try to sneak it thru like they always do?

Apparently, the pickups in the '88 are Bill Lawrence
Did he die and come back as a humbucker?

Based entirely on that one picture I say 2005, not the 70s.

Oh my lord... "it" moved.
I really dig the blue! The idea of a blue Hummingbird kind of sounds silly, but seeing it takes my breath away! I'm glad Sweetwater took the idea and ran with it!! Congratulations!!!

That’s an awesome and unique looking Strat. I’m guessing since you bought from Wildwood you got a custom setup included and it’s dialed in to perfection
Also that case is so nice. I’d love to have a case like that for my LP. Very nice NGD
Yes, Wildwood did a great job on the setup!! This is the second guitar I purchased from them. My first was my Les Paul Standard. They have the best tops to pick from if your looking for a Gibby or a PRS.

Nice.. Is the back the same or is it just blue, like the edge?
Its like that all the way around. It actually much nicer in person, nice and sparkly. 🤤

Thanks Gents!

What an interesting colour... Is that like a reverse burst or is the lighting odd?
Either way, enjoy
Thanks Rabs! Its kind of like a reverse burst. They call it Dark Knight, I guess after Batman... I just think it looks cool.

I normally do not like posting my New Guitar Days. However, I'm really excited about this one! Brand new Fender Strat Professional ll, Dark Knight from Wildwood. This is the best Strat I have ever owned, let alone ever played. If you've never tried out one of these yet, gotta get yourself to a music store soon!

Well, I learned something today. They even have bolt on necks! I would have thought it was a fake too. Gibson did come out with some funky guitars in that era. The Paul being one of them IMHO.

My wife is an Ancient Alien Theorists! They mention that panel of distinguished minds a lot on those shows.

Ron, did CVS close up?
Ahh! Happy hour!!!!
