  1. So I just got my BC30 back today from repair and the problems was ... ... drum roll please ... A bad rectifier tube! Crap, just what you guys were saying. And I asked my tech about going solid state but he did not recommend it as it would put out too much voltage and start burning out tubes. I'll think I'll just play the thing now and not fork with it for a while -
  2. I'd be happy just to find replacement T3 fuses here in Michigan or in the US. Can't seem to find them anywhere.
  3. Hi Jamie, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear that you're having problems already but know that you're not alone. I bought my amp used almost 2 years ago and just recently started having the same issue of the main fuse blowing. I have a very good amp tech and I'll dropping it off with him tonight cuz i'll be darned if I can figure it out. There are a total of 9 fuses in this thing. The most obvious one in the big fuse holder in the back of the amp but there is also one just underneath the power plug recepticle (this is what's blowing for me). Here is a thread that discusses the same issue - http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=11127
  4. It's very simple. If I don't like it, it's not music. Like that Elton john crap-olla
  5. Be nice if you could pop the covers off and drop them in one of those jewelry cleaners or take them to a jeweler and have them cleaned. Seems like that would be a safe way to clean them. A serious pain in the arse to do but probably safe.
  6. I love white guitars, good choice! I wish Gibby would offer white in it's other models of Les Pauls too. Lets see some pics of that beauty. I don't think that fading is as much of an issue anymore with the way laquer is formulated now. Colors last mcuh much longer and if you take a reasonable amount of care it may not fade for a very long time.
  7. Well you guys got me curious so I brought my bc30 home from where my band reherses and did the c6 mod. I removed one leg from the circuit board instead of clipping it. Thought it would be easier that way in case I ever want to put it back in. Did a smoke test after that but I won't really be able to take it for a test drive until Tuesday.
  8. I definitly agree with you about the amp stand. Got mine sitting on top of a couple milk crates. Makes quite a difference. I haven't found it to be too bright though but I'm sure it could use some tweeks and better components.
  9. The Planet Waves strap is a cool idea, but you have to use their strap, which I don't like. I have soft leather strap that I really like so the PW's are out of the question, at least for me. Besides, the Schallers were only 15 bucks plus they are all metal. Great strap lock idea though. Those Planet Waves guys ... always thinking :(/
  10. For my guitar the screws that came with the Schallers fit just fine but zaphod b has some great suggestions
