GuitarLight Posted June 20, 2013 Share Posted June 20, 2013 I think that fiery old Gibson Hummingbird 12 string sounds pretty darn good doing the Eagles Hotel California, and I love playing that song on a 12 string myself!--- And the COLOR!...well, let's just say THAT color Hummingbird is what people have wanted to see since the Rolling Stones played Hummingbirds in their band.. guitarstrummer Posted June 20, 2013 Share Posted June 20, 2013 One of the Homecoming participants bought one of these at Music Villa during the Homecoming this year. It's a great sounding 12 string. I have a Songwriter's Deluxe 12 string and the first difference I noticed was the weight. The rosewood SWD is much heavier mainly because of the wood difference. I have that very same pickup in a drawer - Seymour Duncan 'Woody' - pretty handy to move around various guitars that have no pickup.
