Murph
Finished the saddle job and am tickled. It was so easy I should have done this years ago. Used the Tusq from Stew Mac, never used the "spare" (I bought 2 just in case), and was done in an hour or so with new strings. Used the old ones for testing a few times. Got the low E under 8/64's and the high around 5/64's. No rattles, zero loss in tone, plays MUCH better and is FASTER...... Thanks to all here. Still fighting some shoulder issues, but the old J-45 is better than ever.

GotTheSilver
Good job! Glad it worked out well. What were you doing exactly, lowering the saddle?
