Lefty LP Repairs

Gordy01

Recommended Posts

I just got finished doing a set-up on an Epi LP, lefty.

It's hard to do a setup on a lefty as you have to think all backwards. Some might say that's natural for me, but what they don't know is that thinking is just plain difficult for me anyway!! [flapper]

As I can not play the guitar after the setup to test it, I have to rely completely on the "Numbers".

That is the set up specs. I set it up to the same numbers as any other right handed guitar, and I'm hoping everything is good.

It needed a new nut as the strings were way too low, and if you look closely, whoever changed the bridge pup put the ring on backward, so I had to change that too.

Here's a couple of pics.

I think I'd have the same problem Gordy.

I would constantly have to double check myself to make sure I was doing it right.

Heck, sometimes I put things on backwards on my own guitars!
