Help Identify this one

Hello all, this is my first post and I am new to the boards. I have this Epiphone that I think is a 1988 but not sure. The serial number has fallen off from the back of the neck. I can still see where the glue was. I am looking to sell it but not sure how or where would be my best bet. I see many of these sell on ebay but they have all of the numbers and know exactly what they have. I purchased this about 10-15 years ago and it came with a hard case. I am moving overseas and can't take it with me.

Thanks for the thread. That was awesome! Essentially this MIK Gibson is worth only $200- $250 but only 2 other members of these forums own them. Got it. Thanks again for the help.

I see one on ebay that looks exactly like it for $1600 Here Can anyone tell me the difference or if this person is just dreaming?

If you find someone who believes the myth that older Korean Epis are the best... [lol]

It won't be hard to find them.

That's exactly what it is, a MYTH! I've had older MIK Epi's and yeah they were great except for crappy pots, wiring, pickups, input jacks, and crooked tuners. Other than that, they were fantastic! [lol]

Can you help me with this one as well? Says Gibson Junior, I ran the serial number and it was made in 1997. Can anyone tell me what its worth? Again I see the exact same one on ebay or maybe not Here

Sorry but I maxed out my upload space. How long do I need to wait in order to be able to upload again? Thanks for all your help again.

Upload space is determined by file size. You have to remove some of the previous images to make room for new ones.

I've always loved that reddish-brown finish on those older (1980s/1990s) Sheraton 2s. Not sure what it was called, (brown sunburst?) but it was very attractive. I wish Epiphone still made it, I find the modern Sheraton sunburst garish and rather ugly, to be honest.

I might have to look around for a used Sheraton in that colour, one day. Preferably without the "by Gibson" headstock - I never liked that either - made the headstock look cumbersome, and who really needs the validation that Epiphone is a Gibson-owned company? It's still an Epiphone guitar (and derivative of an original Epiphone model), not a Gibson.

Believe it or not, that color is Vintage Sunburst. These days it would probably be refered to as Antique Sunburst.

Actually, the Sheraton is a dirivative of a Gibson ES-335. The Sheraton didnt come out until after Gibson bought Epiphone and the 335 was first. Although the Sheraton has always been under the Epiphone name, the body design is 100% Gibson, even though the body design was initially popularized by the Beatles and the Epiphone Casino. I rather like the E By G logo though.

My sis just texted me and told me one of my nephews would like a electric guitar for Christmas so this one was just saved from the dump! I have a small amp that he can have as well. So its turning out to be a lucky Christmas for me and guitars. Sold my Sheraton
