I am too much of a traditionalist to own a guitar with a Koa body unless it is a Weissenborn. I rest easy at night figuring Gibson got it right the first time around and there is just no way to improve on it.

Zomby, I know Martin made a lot of Koas as early as the '20's, does anyone know if Gibson made any traditional guitars with Koa back in the day????

I know Martin jumped on the Hawaiian music bandwagon early on and started making guitars with Koa by the mid-1920s. I have never run across any Gibson made with Koa though.
