Ebay...its an MIRC refurb with a used stamp but I love it..theres a natural one with Duncan mini hums from the same seller on ebay...search Epiphone Sheraton Rayhill audio is the seller.

I would if it was a UK seller!

I emailed epiphone last week and they reckon they haven't got a clue when they're due to reach the UK! But I spoke to the shop earlier they say September/October! Would be interesting to know the reason for delay considering la music in Canada have them and the ones on there're site have an April manufactured s/n! What are they shipping on, a rowing boat? I'm so tempted to cancel but I know I would regret it! I've waited 5 months so what's another 2! Cheers epiphone! It better be bloody good!

  • 2 weeks later...

cool guitar, but....please make one without the flag. A natural or VS would be nice (I'd obtain a VS). msp_thumbup.gif

Being a fussy bloke I agree with the above; not a fan of most Epi's or these novelty types. Sheratons are one of the Epi's I do like but not like this [-(

Gear4Music reckon if you pre-order (hah!) you will have it on the 5th of September.

Just looking over gear4music site. Guess what? Now estimated delivery for 8th October! I'm going to phone guitar guitar who I've preordered with tomorrow and see what they say! Epiphone seriously need to pull their fingers out and hurry up! I find it hard to believe that they've managed to get the casino coupe available but were still waiting for the uj! I assume it's the same factory making both!

On the bright side, Be thankful Epi hopefully isn't rushing out A POS guitar.

Got a call from rep at Sweetwater today...now giving me a delivery date of last week of October for the Union Jack...

I think we are all getting our chains jerked here.

Should be cool when it comes..heard some good reviews on it...workmanship , tone, minimal set up out of the box. Etc

First tune I'm gonna play is Champagne Super 'Nover' as the English lads say.

Peace

Luke

Oh, I' m a new guy in town., just drifted in....first post,

I'll be staying at the local Hotel, just gonna order me a bottle of red-eye whiskey and a loose woman.

No real surprise here. Actually feel for the reps - they get told a different date every few weeks.

Seems to be a few people online cancelling their pre-orders and going elsewhere.

Hey Podnah,

When you say 'going elsewhere' do you mean to another dealer or purchasing an entirely different Guitar?

The Rep from Sweetwater has pretty much verified what you said...peeps that ordered the UJ are ready to come after them with Pitchforks and torches if they don't get their order soon.

Me, I'm in it for the long haul ,

How about the rest of y'all?

I spoke to the shop I ordered with the other day, epiphone have told them 2-3 weeks max. I emailed epiphone myself last week and they said they are en route to Europe and hit the uk in 3-6 weeks! Either the shop are pulling my leg or epi are pulling theirs, my guess is epi! We've waited so long since the first glimpse in that blog update, a few more weeks/months ultimately won't matter but it would be so much easier if they just told us what the delay is!

I've seriously considered cancelling and getting a different guitar, I constantly look at others but I know if I did I would regret it forever!

The regret factor looms large with me too.

I really have all the guitars I need for the different types of gigs, recording etc.

What I really need is a decent bass, was gonna spring for a Fender P or Jazz but saw this UJ and fell in love.

I usually get one big item of gear a year, last year it was a Martin Dreadnought, year before Fender Butterscotch finish MIM Tele w/ noiseless PUs....

I was looking for a 64/65 country gent when this was announced but that can wait a bit longer now! I got the ac30 last year and feel like I haven't had anything new for ages it's killing me! I'm desperate for gibson to release a blonde 345 or 355 with bigsby! Hopefully in January! Seriously excited for the uj though!

I mean buying different guitars.

The only reason I'm waiting it out is because I don't need the guitar - sure I'll enjoy it but I can wait. Being an Oasis/Noel Gallagher fan when I saw they were making 1000 of these I thought I had to get one, especially considering how nice they are compared to the old Supernovas (in my opinion).

I feel sorry for the people who are desperately waiting for it.

Ditto,

I have more than enough guitars, I haven't been playing much, happens every summer, callouses are softening...A few of my guitars need some attention, string changes, adjustments etc.

I'll be back in my studio soon as the weather gets cooler, last winter I got a lot done because it was a long cold one.

Hopefully, the UJ will arrive when I'm ready to get down to business in the studio.

I think that if truly they only made 1,000 UJ s, those that get them will have a nice little collectible guitar in their arsenal.

What with the Gibson steep price increase for 2015 I think Epiphones will soar in popularity...

Wonder if Epiphone will follow suit and jack up their prices also?
