You tell me what your thoughts are, now that you have played it for a few days. Me, I think they are great guitarsmsp_smile.gif...but that's just memsp_smile.gif. I put a roller bridge on the red onesmile.gif I haven't done any rewiring.

Here is a pic msp_smile.gif

Wow Crust...hmmmmm seem to me you like them....lol...

I have been playing the guitar all weekend and I like it quite a bit...

Neck is smooth and the amount of versatility you can get from the pickups configuration is great. The pickups seem Fine for now though I found that they can get muddy at higher levels.

I am certainly considering swapping them out but only if the lollar or duncans make a huge difference. I tried posting pics from my phone but I couldn't. I will get on my laptop tonight and try again....

try adjusting the pickup and pole piece heights to see if you can get it to sound any better. You might have the same condition with any pickups if they aren't "dialed in" properly, I guess..smile.gif

[thumbup] P-90's especially, can vary in sound, depending on the pole piece heights,

or that of the pickup, itself. Depending on how you set them up, they can be quite

clean, to really raunchy/ballsy! I'd suggest picking the amp you'll use most (IF

you have several), and balance it, to that. My Casino sounds totally different,

even clean, on my Fender amps, to my Vox AC-30, or the Marshall. I actually prefer

the tones (I have now) when used with my Fender amps. But, one can adjust, somewhat

for the other's. It's all in degrees, and what you really want. [biggrin]

I have a P93 Custom in wine red. I really agree - don't be in a hurry to change things around till you have spent time finding out what the guitar will do. Epiphone P 90's are as good as any I have heard, and I have some VERY expensive hand wound P90's in a Gibson Les Paul...Try different strings, adjust the pickup height, set the amp and adjust the V & T controls...

I see far too many posts starting " I just bought an Epiphone online and it will be here in a few days - what should I change on it..."

Play it and try it. I have never found any problems with ANY of my 7 Epiphone electric guitars that had to do with pickups or electronics. The only thing that I have replaced on 1 or 2 of them - I replaced the TOM bridge with a Gotoh. I have also done this on several of my Gibsons.
