I had a vinyl of Leadbelly doing this back in '63 that was somewhat different from this, still, of interest.

 

I'm not sure this really is Leadbelly himself regardless.

 

Then about the same time, Koerner, Ray and Glover had a version of it recorded. A lot faster.
