Buc McMaster
This band certainly managed to sound British even though they hailed from New York City. Forty eight years ago this was a huge AM radio hit. Aside from the chorus hook, lyrically this song is pretty weak, but it has a very strong, pleasing melody that is fun to sing. On the 1940s Gibson Enigma soprano uke. The inside is back is stamped "UKE 1" and it has the unadorned neck of such, but the body is bound top and back as a Uke 3 is appointed. Reckon this is evidence of Gibson foibles of construction even in the ukulele line.......... http://youtu.be/ZoZaqeWiXRQ Hurl fruits and vegetables if you will.........I clean up well. (still can't get the embed thing to show more than a link.......wtf?!?)
