jedzep
I just found a great price on my favorite strings. Every year or so I stumble on a reasonable deal and stock up. Here's a link if anyone is looking. If you like the typical brightness of the break-in period of most strings don't buy these, but for consistent primo tone and longevity I'd suggest you try. They offer up to five sets for the one 2.99 shipping fee, but you may have to contact them to get the correct invoicing before you buy if you can't get that deal through direct Ebay purchase process. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262180292308?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Here's the question. Do strings degrade in any way if kept, say for three years, in a good climatic environment, thus making stashing them unwise? I'm thinking it takes way longer for them to lose their bounce. I'm hoping for knowledgeable, thoughtful info and/or drunken/stoned opinions.
Dave F
I hope they don't degrade. Maury's was selling Martin strings for $1 a set. I bought 65 sets.

j45nick
I think the only risk in long-term storage is corrosion. Most strings today come in corrosion-resistant packaging of some type, either impregnated paper or vacuum-packing or just sealed plastic packaging.
