I've picked up Epi guards from Terrapin, in the past and always had good luck. Lately, I've picked up three from a guy on eBay, caphob, and they've fit well. He gives dimensions to cut outs for the pickups, to double check, so that adjustments can be made. He's done a RI Sorrento, a RI Sheridan and an IB Texan guards for me and they've all fit well. I have a '01 Peerless Casino that I could check dimensions against, if you don't currently have one. Other than those, keep checking eBay. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I notice that you have plastic dogear covers on the pickups. I was planning to replace the chrome covers on my Casino and was wondering what would be the best way to attach a plastic cover to the pickup. Any advice? Thanks. These covers are held on by the mounting screws, but they are not stock Epi dogears, with black covers. They are used Lollars. There was actually quite a bit of work involved to fit those. I posted the whole ordeal about 18 months (?) ago. I bought blank covers and drilled matching post holes, then curved the back edges, to hug the body. It'd be a different deal for you. I've heard that getting the chrome covers off can be "interesting". There's a reason why guys like Lollar won't do that kind of stuff any more. You'll have to make sure that the covers are the right depth and the pole spacing is the same. Most covers that have the correct depths (neck and bridge) aren't made for a curved body. I'm not saying it's tough to do, just time consuming and takes a little research. Get some shims, too, but be aware that not all P-90 shims sold out there are the same shape as aftermarket covers. If you buy blank covers, but two sets. The covers are cheaper than the shipping. The process is kind of like pulling a sliver, feels good when the pain is over.
