Flight959 Posted October 4, 2016 Author Share Posted October 4, 2016 Thanks for the kind comments. The camera I used was digital Canon 5D mk3. The lense was a canon 17-40mm. At 17mm, under 30 seconds the earth's rotation isn't an issue. When you start to zoom to say 400mm then you have less than a second before the stars look like comma's. Regards Simon. Retired Posted October 5, 2016 Share Posted October 5, 2016 Those are super great shots! Here where I am, you can't really see the Milky Way. I've looked for years and your photos show billions of more stars then we see. We live in the city and even at night you can't see all that many stars.
