G Mac
I met him at a Shakti concert in Boston some years ago. He is a super kind person! He signed my copy of Shakti's "Handful of Beauty" LP... a record that literally changed my life! Can you imagine what kind of residual vibe his guitars must have?! 'Scales
Was the EC collection for charity too? If so, a generous gesture indeed.

He signed my copy of Shakti's "Handful of Beauty" LP... a record that literally changed my life! Can you imagine what kind of residual vibe his guitars must have?! Wow! The original Shakti albums certainly were life changing. I think Natural Elements is still my personal favourite, but all 3 are sublime. The regrouped Remember Shakti was great too, but somehow not quite up to the 70's original version - I think it's because McLaughlin was playing electric instead of acoustic and L. Shankar (violin) wasn't part of it the second time round. All brilliant stuff though.
